The Robson Duo began playing professionally together in 2005,
during their time at music college. They specialise in
repertoire for piano duet (four hands at one piano) and have
performed extensively throughout the UK, Europe and the Far
East.
In 2009, the duo released their first disc of recordings,
"Hearing Double" with pieces including works by Liszt, Schubert,
Beethoven and Ravel. They are currently engaged in an ambitious
project to record the piano duet arrangements of the nine
symphonies of Beethoven, arranged by Hugo Urlrich.
The Robson Piano Duo regularly works in aid of charitable
organisations, having raised many thousands of pounds.
Fundraising projects over the last five years have included work
for Breast Cancer Care, Make a Wish Foundation, George House
Trust (Manchester), Tsunami Appeal, Macmillan Nurses, St Mary’s
and St Catherine’s hospice and The Polio Foundation.
